ICF mentor coaching by experienced MCC coaches to help you with your ICF credentialing journey

Coaching schools authorized by the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) to offer mentor coaching provide aspiring coaches with tools to elevate their practice and meet the industry’s highest standards. By working one-on-one, and in small groups, the mentor coach provides the mentee coach with invaluable feedback, support, and guidance, to build their skills and expertise. Mentor coaching also ensures the integrity of the coaching profession by adhering to ICF’s eight core competencies, code of ethics, and professional standards. This reflective process encourages self-awareness and helps learners gain insights into their personal and professional development. Mentor coaching is proven to augment the ability of aspiring coaches, and is an essential requirement for ICF credentialing.

For obtaining ACC (Associate Certified Coach), PCC (Professional Certified Coach), or MCC (Master Certified Coach) credentials, one must receive at least 10 hours of mentor coaching from an ICF credentialed coach, out of which three hours must be one-on-one. For those looking to apply or renew their ACC, PCC, or MCC credentials, Powerhouse Coaching provides 10-hour group mentor coaching through its highly experienced MCC mentor coaches. The coaching is completed over a period of three months, as per ICF requirements, to allow mentee coaches to grasp the core competencies, and implement them in their coaching practice. The dynamic and energetic program is designed to boost your confidence as a coach, replace bad habits with best practices, and get honest, and expert feedback on your coaching.

Building coaching skills that reflect ICF core competencies

The ICF group mentor coaching is completed in 7 sessions of 90 minutes each by the experienced MCC coach. In the first session, your mentor coach will get to know you better, and provide you with materials and tools that you will be using. There will be a discussion to review ethics and guidelines. From the very first session of ICF group mentor coaching, your mentor coach will set you up for success. Sessions 2 to 5 of ICF group mentor coaching will combine live mentor coaching, round robins, facilitated discussions, and questions & answers sessions. The focus of these sessions would be on improving your coaching presence, crafting powerful questions, inviting the shift, and building coaching skills that reflect ICF core competencies.  The last two sessions of the mentor coaching may be used to review a recorded call, practice your coaching, and provide you with any support that you need in skill building.
